Mojave with Photochromic Lens

These glasses are fantastic. I ride in the Arizona sun and the lens transitions from bright light to low light flawlessly. I'm well with the service and price.

So impressed with my first pair of Eastern Outer sunglasses that I ordered another. Optics are super clear, photochromic lenses respond quickly to changing light, and the frames disappear on my head while riding. Excellent and a great value.

I’ve now tested these glasses under two very different definitions of “why are you riding a bike in this?”

First up: the desert, where the sun was attempting to kill me from above while the ground tried to bake me from below. The light-adaptive lenses worked beautifully, adjusting as conditions changed and keeping everything comfortably visible. The glasses survived. I survived. Success.

Then came summer riding in the Southeast, where the air has roughly the consistency of soup. Once again, they performed admirably despite conditions generally incompatible with human life.

They’re lightweight, fit comfortably, look good, and the adaptive lenses genuinely work—which is especially nice when moving between bright exposed sections and shaded trail.

After extensive testing in both an oven and a sauna, I can confirm: excellent glasses.

These shades preform great and the price is unbeatable. I thought the photochromic lenses would be great for morning/evening rips but they also are nice when riding in open space then transitioning into trees. The mirror lenses preform well and it’s very easy to swap depending on conditions. This is my 2nd pair and the 2026 version is a solid upgrade over the 2025s. The 2025 lenses fit the 2026 frames with is super nice. Bet Oakley, Smith, etc would make ya buy all new lenses.

Loving the Mojave shades so far—I run and bike single track through oak chaparral on the California Coast and these adapt quickly to the shady forest sections and intense, sunny exposure. They are comfy and I have literally forgot that I was wearing them a few times.
